1. Aircraft Avionics and Electronics Systems Support and Upgrade

Avionics are the electronic systems used on aircraft, artificial satellites, and spacecraft. Avionic systems consist of communications, navigation, display & management of multiple systems, and number of systems that are fitted to aircraft to perform individual functions. The cockpit of an aircraft is a typical location for avionic equipment, including control, monitoring, communication, navigation, weather, and anti-collision systems.

MDC has expertise in providing turnkey solutions in following domains:

1a. Communications

We can provide communication and the tactical systems that can offer the backbone for safe flight, which are designed to endure the severity of the battle field environment. We provide UHF, VHF Tactical (30–88 MHz) and SatCom systems which are combined with ECCM methods, and cryptography secures the communications.

1b. Navigation

We provide satellite-based systems (such as GPS and WAAS), ground-based systems (such as VOR or LORAN), or any combination thereof INS and IMUs. Navigation systems calculate the position automatically and display it to the flight crew on moving map displays.

1c. Collision-Avoidance Systems

Collision-Avoidance Systems to supplement air traffic control, we provide Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), which can detect the location of nearby aircraft, and provide instructions for avoiding a midair collision. To help avoid controlled flight into terrain (CFIT), we can provide systems such as Ground-Proximity Warning Systems (GPWS), which use radar altimeters as a key element. One of the major weaknesses of GPWS is the lack of "look-ahead" information, because it only provides altitude above terrain "look-down". In order to overcome this weakness, we can also refer our customers with use a Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS).

1d. Weather Systems

We can provide weather systems such as weather radar and lightning detectors which are important for aircraft flying at night or in instrument meteorological conditions, where it is not possible for pilots to see the weather ahead.

1e. Mission or Tactical Avionics

Military aircraft have been designed either to deliver a weapon or to be the eyes and ears of other weapon systems. The vast array of sensors available to the military is used for whatever tactical means required. As with aircraft management, the bigger sensor platforms we can provide the mission-management computers.

1f. Military Communications

While aircraft communications provide the backbone for safe flight, the tactical systems are designed to withstand the rigors of the battle field. We provide the UHF, VHF Tactical (30–88 MHz) and SatCom systems combined with ECCM methods, and cryptography for secure communications.

1g. Electro-Optics

We provide Electro-optic systems which include devices such as the head-up display (HUD), forward looking infrared (FLIR), infra-red search and track and other passive infrared devices (Passive infrared sensor). These are all used to provide imagery and information to the flight crew. This imagery is used for everything from search and rescue to navigational aids and target acquisition.

1h. Aircraft Avionics Upgrade Solutions

We have in depth experience of avionics modernization and upgrade of legacy aircraft systems.

1i. Aircraft Networks

The avionics systems in military, commercial and advanced models of civilian aircraft are interconnected using an avionics data bus. Our team has expertise on following Common avionics data-bus protocols.

  • Aircraft Data Network (ADN): Ethernet derivative for Commercial Aircraft
  • Avionics Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet (AFDX): Specific implementation of ARINC 664 (ADN) for Commercial Aircraft
  • ARINC 429: Generic Medium-Speed Data Sharing for Private and Commercial Aircraft
  • ARINC 629: Commercial Aircraft
  • MIL-STD-1553: Military Aircraft
  • MIL-STD-1760: Military Aircraft

2. Radar Upgrade System Solutions

A country Aerial Defense Capability (ADC) is the key for aerial supremacy. The key for maintaining supremacy of aerial defense against the enemies are the Radars which provide the adequate information against the low and high altitude flying targets. Militaries around the world are spending millions of dollars annually to maintain the legacy systems when most of the old Radars are completing their service life.

Beside, owing to normal Fare Ware and Tare, despite regular check and serviceability likely to affect ops activity in foreseeable time vis-à-vis acute problem regarding spares support and maintenance facilities.

Radar systems are often kept in service well beyond their intended operational service life cycle. Furthermore due to the obsolesce of spares the OEM also find it difficult timely meeting of requirement/ replenishment of spares as consequence the said OEMs usually declines the supportability.

This results in exercise in futility both of time and money looking for the procurement of depleted spares. This in real sense affects the operational capability where even after spending huge budgets; MODs are not able to guarantee the operational status of the Radars. Apart from the spares cost; the man hours consumed to operate the system in its “best maintained status” yet “compromised "on operational state is also alarming.

To overcome operational and technical constraints of Radars, a complete system upgrade option is most appropriate and beneficial at operational and commercial level. We have collaboration with one of the finest Radar Upgrade OEMs and Integrators of the world which have capabilities to present a state of art solution to enhance the operational life of radar, which is perfectly cost efficient as well as technically astounding.

3. Avionics Development and Test Integration Systems

We have collaborative expertise in design and development of turnkey solutions for integration, verification, and validation of aircraft systems including related consulting and services. We can provide modular and scalable integrated software/ hardware platforms, which forms the basis for a wide range of real-time integration and test systems as well as smaller scale simulation and analysis systems.

4. Aircraft & Military Vehicles Spares and Ground Support Systems

We are partners and working under the banner of leading Aircraft & Military Vehicles Spares support companies in Europe, USA and Russia. Furthermore; we can provide efficient ground support systems for Aircraft & Military Vehicles.

5. Aircraft & Military Vehicles Structural Health Monitoring Solutions

We can provide support in defining and implementing Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) at all levels of maintenance for aircraft and ground vehicles. We are currently defining requirements and implementing our process to improve the readiness of the Aviation and other weapon systems. Our IVHM process expertise is a system engineering discipline focused on the maturation and utilization of vehicle health monitoring system data throughout the engineering and logistics life cycle of the system.

We can provide fully-featured Structural Heath Management, off-the-shelf software application providing a state of art environment for the design, integration, evaluation and optimization of System Diagnostics, Prognostics and Health Management.

6. Aircraft Lightning Products and NVIS Solutions

We have collaboration with some major giants of aerospace and lighting industry which provides interior and exterior lighting solutions for fixed-wing and rotary aircraft globally. We are Innovative and novel in the aerospace lighting industry providing high standards for Night Vision Imaging Systems and flight simulator solutions for rotary and fixed-wing aircraft around the world.

7. Aviation and Defense Simulators

We can provide simulators for multiple military and civil aviation aircraft and defense systems.

8. Aviation and Defense Electronic Warfare Systems

Today in the modern day world, the ever-increasing need to keep surveillance and observation on number of different rivals in a modern day encounters of war are tied in the midst of the escalating threat and danger of puzzling friendly air forces with the foes air battle ships. Furthermore, apart from the need of armed forces, the ever increasing requirement for extra surveillance over domestic and local area and the cautious watch aligned with terrorism is also growing very fast. Thus the complication in the modern day warfare is now greater and dangerous than ever it was in history of warfare. Hence, our modern day warfare needs systems capable enough of providing extended and persistent surveillance over our domestic and war fronts.

Victory in any future war shall go to the side that can best control the Electromagnetic Spectrum.

U.S. Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Moore
